Embarking on Adventures with Honey Bee: The Blind Cat Who Finds Joy in Hiking

June 29, 2024 by Ngoc Huyen Leave a Comment

Meet Honey Bee, our incredible blind feline companion who adores accompanying us on our hiking adventures! We welcomed her into our family after adopting her from Animals Fiji, and now she resides in Seattle alongside her two humans and four feline siblings.

When we hit the trails, we either carry Honey Bee on our shoulders or take her along with us on a leash. While many may think of dogs as the perfect hiking companions, Honey Bee proves that cats can enjoy outdoor excursions just as much!

Check out the video below from one of our hikes to Mason Lake, located in the scenic mountains surrounding Seattle. For more updates, you can follow us on Facebook and YouTube, or learn more about Animals Fiji at animalsfiji.org.

Who says dogs are the only furry friends who can join you on a hike? Honey Bee is living proof that cats can be adventure-loving trailblazers, too!

Her keen awareness of boundaries and ledges allows her to approach without fear of a misstep. Walking with Honey Bee is a leisurely experience due to the abundance of tempting scents and intriguing noises in the environment.
